This year Tommy and I celebrated Valentine’s Day twice. Once on February 14th and again the Saturday following (post to follow). I figured since we were going to celebrate at home I would do it right! From top to bottom: Table set for two, T’s place is set with a sweet and savory chocolate bar and some new briefs, my setting also had some cute frills and gummy worm candy. Our first course was Himachi Crudo Two Ways – olive oil, cilantro, sea salt, grapefruit and chile oil, sea salt and lime. One of my favorite cocktails, found at Smitten Kitchen, Blackberry Gin Fiz. And for entree we had Pappardelle with Brown Butter Scallops, Fried Sage and Walnuts served with Artichoke Heart Croisette, from a cookbook that everyone should own, The Essential New York Times Cook Book, Amanda Hesser.
